Hybrid bearings with ceramic balls and rings made of stainless steel or rolling bearing steel
are subject to a lesser wear and tear compared to bearings of similar size with steel balls. The ceramic balls are current insulating - optimally for use in engines and generators. are extremely wear-resistant by their great hardness, corrosion-resistant and durable. They have good emergency running characteristics, are lighter than steel bearings of the same size, suitable for dry run, current insulating, non-magnetic, withstand extremely high speeds. Bearinngs with cages made of PTFE operate up to a temperature of circa +160°C, bearings with cages made of PEEK up to a temperature of circa +160°C.
